KarenKia Growing
up in Pickett you can imagine I spent most of my time in nearby
Oshkosh. It was during that era of my life that downtown Oshkosh
was a booming metropolis of specialty stores and outstanding
restaurants. Unfortunately, throughout the 70's and 80's this
historic district declined and many of the unique shops and
restaurants disappeared. My daughter Kia approached me about
opening a specialty shop which was intriguing at the time but
I turned her down. My husband Clyde and I have farmed for years
with my brother and sister-in-law. Over the course of the last
5 years things began to happen again in Oshkosh. It seemed the
downtown was making a comeback! The beautiful old buildings
were being renovated, specialty shops and galleries began to
open and the former OddFellows Club had once again been turned
into an excellent restaurant. Kia again approached me with the
idea of opening a specialty store and this time I said yes!
Maybe it was the magic of the downtown area making its debut
once again. After two years of research, we began investing
in select and original products. Items you cannot easily find
anywhere else. Our store is filled with unique and practical
housewares, gifts, and elegant décor.
Come and visit us. Enjoy a cup of coffee and take time to find
something out of the ordinary. We're more than happy to serve
you any way we can.
